Family Sunday Sneak Peek

By Alex Krueger, Public Programs Coordinator

Family Sundays at KW|AG are a free* monthly drop-in program for kids and kids-at-heart to get creative at the Gallery. With hands-on workshops in our studios, in-gallery art activities, storytelling, drama, games, and special guests, it’s one day a month you don’t want to miss!

Here’s a sneak peek of the watercolour circle paintings we’ll being making at the next Family Sunday on December 1st. We were inspired by the activity on the Small For Big blog, and the many repeating circles and vibrant colours in our Op Art exhibition, Seeing is Believing. We love how the colours mix and blend when the paint gets really wet!

Special guests, Ballet Jörgen Canada, will also be here to offer Ballet 101 workshops. Come dance with us! Learn all about ballet, watch dancers perform, and try out ballet steps and gestures for yourself. You can also participate in a colouring contest that could win you a family four-pack of tickets to see The Nutcracker, A Canadian Tradition on December 28th at The Centre in the Square!
