Opening Reception Firsts

Tonight’s Opening Reception marks a couple of firsts. The debut of the new entry wall in our not to be missed green, and the unveiling of the New Music at the Gallery Series for starters. Michelle Allard’s Materialscape, which she created during her January residence (see the interview here) will be shown for the first time, joining Colwyn Griffith’s Something About Time and Robert Linsley’s A Geomorphic Fantasy exhibitions.  A tweet wall in co|lab will capture guest’s take on the experience in real time (use #kwagopen),  plus we welcome BMO as our Opening Reception sponsor. So it’s understandable that we are pretty excited.

Everyone is welcome at tonight’s Opening Reception and admission is free. The event starts at 7 p.m. and the artists will make their remarks at 7:20 p.m. Refreshments and a cash bar will be available.

Compared to our last day-of-opening, this one feels down right calm (see our blog entry from that day here). Mind you, it is still early!

Need to be persuaded to venture out of the house on such a cold night? Check out RQ Magazine and the Curly Blue blog for why you should be here!
